The EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) has set ambitious targets for a seamless charging network across Europe’s TEN-T core corridors. Starting in 2025, every 60 km must have a charging station with at least one 150 kW fast charger. By 2027, this will be upgraded to 350 kW, and by 2030, each site must offer multiple high-power chargers (HPCs). This mandate is a cornerstone of the EU’s Green Deal, ensuring that electric vehicle (EV) drivers can travel long distances without range anxiety, thereby accelerating the adoption of zero-emission vehicles.
As a leading provider of EV charging communication solutions, Eprim is uniquely positioned to support this massive infrastructure rollout. Our Power Line Communication (PLC) modules, which are fully compliant with ISO 15118, ensure stable and secure communication between EVs and chargers. This is critical for the reliable operation of high-power charging networks. Moreover, our modules are designed to be easily integrated into new HPC installations, making them the ideal choice for manufacturers and operators looking to meet AFIR’s strict deadlines and technical requirements.
